I first met Beth at the SPCA tent at the Champ annual WagnWalk held in Milford, Auckland, on 17th October, 2009. My retriever/border collie cross dog, Woody, was exhausted when we reached the finish line of that event’s 3K dog walk. He benefited greatly from the short massage Beth gave him there. He certainly needed all the help he could get for he was suffering from an aggressive form of oral cancer that had taken its toll on him over the previous few months. (Granted, at the time of the WagnWalk, his health had slightly improved due to homeopathic treatment he had been on for two weeks).
Woody relaxed with Beth’s massaging, and she generously extended her time with him for free.
(I had paid $2 for a five minute massage). Beth also gave Woody some Reiki healing around his mouth and glands.

Back at home the next day, Woody seemed a little better. So I contacted Beth to give him more massage sessions at our home in Takapuna. All in all, she gave him four one hour treatments over the course of several months. Through her gentle work, which supplemented the marvelous homeopathic treatment he was on, that oral cancer in Woody’s mouth retracted. Finally – amazingly – it disappeared!
I can’t thank Beth enough for her gentle, talented and professional ability as a dog massage therapist. (Before one of her visits, she even phoned Woody’s homeopathic vet to enquire if he was well enough for her to do a lymphatic drainage massage on him. That particular massage helped clear the toxins from Woody’s body. She also located an old strain near his back, and, over time, gently reduced the pain in that area).
Looking at Woody now (he’s almost ten years) one would never guess how sick he has been. He has put back the weight he lost when the cancer was at its most virulent, his coat is glossy, his flexibility much improved, his energy back to how it should be. Thanks, thanks, thank you, Beth.
Margaret Perkins, Woody’s owner. |

"Bonham looks forward to Beth coming to massage her.
Before she is even in the door, she presents her self
by pushing her body close in, sits down with her
back towards her and looks over her shoulder
as if to say, I’m ready, begin."

Lola & Pippa |

"My German Shepherds Lola and Pippa are really active dogs,
sometimes too active for their own good! Beth’s dog massages
are a real treat for them both. It’s not just the physical effect of the massages that’s powerful. Beth has a special connection with
animals – when our dogs see Beth, they immediately sit at her
feet awaiting Beth’s magic hands."

I knew nothing about dog massage until I met Beth. I asked her if she could massage Bob to see if it would calm him down as he is quite a hyper dog at times. Beth massaged Bob and Abby my other dog, and after a few sessions Bob has quietened down quite a bit. It has been great for both dogs, to have this done.
